Standard league

Standard leagues are a great place to get started if you’ve never played fantasy football before or if you are in the mood for a more casual league. The simple rules and systems allow owners of all skill levels to compete and have fun for the entire season.

Typically a standard league is played with ten teams and has 16 players on each roster. The starting positions include one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, 1 ‘flex’ (typically a running back or wide receiver), one defense, and one kicker. The rest of the roster is filled out with any number of backup players at any given position.

Scoring is simplified across all positions. Quarterbacks get 1 point for every 25 yards passing and 4 points per PASSING touchdown. All positions get 1 point for every 10 yards rushing/receiving and 6 points for rushing/receiving touchdowns. Kickers get points for Points After Touchdown (PAT) and Field Goals. Defenses earn points for sacking the quarterback and forcing turnovers. They also lose points for giving up points.

Drafting teams is done via a Snake draft. The draft order is decided at random before the draft. The team with the first pick selects first, followed by the second pick, and so on until the last person chooses their player. Once the last person picks their first player, the round is over, and the order is reversed for the second round. At the start of the third round, the player that was initially selected first, once again, has the first selection.

The great thing about this game is that you can make this how you want. You can customize the scoring and roster configurations to make your league more fitting to how you want to play. Contact us for custom suggestions to personalize your league today!
